Girls In Technology 🗓

arc_adminEvents, Outreach

We’re excited to work with Girls In Technology for our fourth year in a row! Girls In Technology is a global nonprofit dedicated to getting young girls excited about learning and STEM, as well as introducing them to influential women and empowering them to follow their dreams. Girls in technology has over 50,000 members, and over 60 chapters throughout the US, with their headquarters based in San Fransisco. At a GIT event, you can find several different booths dedicated to different aspects of STEM. Generally, the people who present and exhibit the booths are from different groups that promote STEM activities for young women. At every event, GIT invites a female speaker to share their life experiences and their journey to finding an occupation that fits their passion.

As a robotics team of six boys and three girls, we understand how important it is to introduce more young women into not only robotics, but into all parts of the STEM world.  At the upcoming event on November 10th at the VISA Center, you will find us displaying our numerous Craft-A-Bots, FTC demobots, and our infamous Sumobots.  We highly encourage you to come support the event.

(ps: there will be snacks)
